EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITES

In order to develop a balanced personality, the college has provided a vast scope for cultural and sports activities to the students. Encouragement is given for promotion of talents, like public speaking, Music, Dance, Drama, Sports and adventure in addition to arranging guest lectures on topic of current importance and application.

NSS

The college a NSS unit of 100 volunteers led by a trained programme officer. The NSS unit conducts verity of activities such as Blood Donation. Tree Plantation, Environment Protection. Eye Check-up. Awareness about drug abuse etc., besides weekly campus cleaning and an annual camp.

PARENT-TEACHER MEETING

Parent-Teacher Meetings are held during the course of each semester in order to promote healthy interaction between parents and the teachers to highlight the performance of students.

SEMINAR/ WORKSHOP/CONFERENCES/INDUSTRIAL VISIT/TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Since management games became the important focus of management courses, Vishnupriya College of Management Studies also gave considerable importance to those games. Our students have actively participated in managements games in various colleges and won the prizes. It also giving importance to make awareness and trained in those management games during its 3 years course.

Academic Activity

To achieve high standards of education, the following measures are practiced :-

  • Monitoring the academic progress.
  • Conduct of periodic tests and examinations.
  • Assignments at regular intervals.
  • Remedial teaching for weak students.
  • Text book lending for the whole academic year.
  • Scholarship to merit students.
  • Conformity with regular attendance and punctuality.

A LIBRARY RULES

  • Only two books can be borrowed on the production of Library Card.
  • Borrowers shall satisfy themselves of the good condition of the library materials while borrowing as they will be responsible for any damages detected at the time of returning.
  • Loss or damage to a book shall have to be made goods by the card holder.
  • The owner of this cards is responsible for the book borrowed against it.
  • A penalty for loss of Library Card is Rs. 25/-.
  • Fine as per the rules will be collected for the books returned later than the date mentioned last on the due date card is Rs. 1/- per day.

A candidates shall apply for all the parts in each examination when he/she appears for the first time.
Candidates who have obtained at least 35% of marks aggregate in each subject shall be eligible for a pass or exemption in that subject. There is no minimum marks for pass for record maintenance.
The candidates shall be permitted to improve the results of the whole examination or of any semester or any subject with in 30 days after the publication of the results. This provision shall; be exercised only during the course and the provision once exercised shall be revoked.
The medium of instruction is English. Students are required to write answers in the examinations only in English.
A candidate is allowed to carry all a previous uncleared papers to subsequent semester /semesters. Those candidates who have failed/remained absent/opt. to improve in any one or more papers
(Theory/Practical/Desertion/Project work/field work) henceforth called as repeater shall appear for exam in such papers during the three immediate successive examination. Examinations for subsequent appearances will be conducted respectively at the end of the odd/even semester(odd with odd even with even).

CLASSIFICATION OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES


The results of the 1st to 6th semester shall be declared and classified separately a follows.

1. First Class : Those who obtain 60% and above of the total marks of parts I, II & III.
2. Second Class : Those who obtain 50% and above but less than 60% of the total marks of part I, II & II.
3. Pass Class : Rest of the successful candidates who secure 35% and above but less than 50% of marks in parts I, II & III.
The results of the degree courses as a whole shall be declared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the core subjects of the I, II & III year degree course put together as follows.

1. First Class : Those who obtain 60% and above of the total marks of parts I, II & III.
2. Second Class : Those who obtain 50% and above and aggregate in the core subjects if I, II & III degree course.
3. Pass Class : Rest of the successful candidates who secure 35% and above but less than 50% of the aggregate marks in the core subject of the I, II & III year degree course.
Class and ranks shall be declared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Core subjects in to he 1st to 6th semester of degree course as a whole. However, only those candidates who have passed each semester public examination in the first attempt only shall be eligible for the award of ranks. The first ranks only shall be notified.
